Beach Genres

Beach Genres

I’ve seen some pretty remarkable beaches in my day, and the Costa Rican ones are definitely up there on my list. Each beach has some unique quality that gives it its own pizzaz. Some beaches have pure white sand, others have sand blacker than space, and others have a mix of the two. Some beaches are littered with people, and others are nestled away in privacy. Some beaches are surrounded by large mountains which encompass you in a beautiful coved area; other beaches stretch as far as the eye can see, and you’ll spend a few minutes staring out into the hazy, white abyss wondering where you’re going to be in five years, or what you’re going to be when you grow up.

Beach Genres

I’ve really come to appreciate the different ‘genres of beaches,’ if you will, because they always seem to offer you what you want— a step out of the hustle and bustle to a sandy carpet of space where we can feel timeless for a couple hours, all the while working on our tan. I’m going to miss these beaches tremendously when I leave Costa Rica —the convenience of living so close to them, and their beauty and timelessness. Better take advantage while you’re here!
